Why does the app require these permissions from my device? – Checkout 51 Help Desk

Required Permissions

Our app requires the following permissions in order to function:

• Location/Bluetooth connection information - These are used to unlock personalized offers based on location.
• Camera - We need these permissions in order for you to photograph your receipt in the app.
• Identity/Device ID & call information - In order for your device to receive push notifications (ie. pop-ups on your phone about receipts being processed, special offers in your neighbourhood) the app needs to be able to read your phone status and identity.

The wording of the permissions comes from the Play Store and doesn’t necessarily reflect how our app actually uses them.
